Job Description
We are looking for a tech-savvy and meticulous National Service Scheme (NSS) Personnel to join our technical operations team as a Diagnostics Technician for their mandatory service year. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and testing incoming trade-in devices to ensure they meet our quality standards. You will be fully trained to operate our proprietary, in-house diagnostic software to run comprehensive tests on devices, assessing hardware conditions such as battery health, screen integrity, button functionality, and overall system performance. By accurately logging your findings and grading each device, you will play a critical role in determining its final trade-in value and deciding its next step in the refurbishment lifecycle, making this an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on technical experience in the consumer electronics industry.
Skills Required
Candidates must be officially registered and eligible for deployment by the National Service Secretariat, ideally holding a degree or HND in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. While prior experience with diagnostic tools is not required since full training will be provided, you must possess a strong foundational understanding of consumer electronics and the technical aptitude to quickly learn new, in-house software. Success in this role requires intense attention to detail to catch subtle hardware defects, a methodical approach to following testing protocols, and a high level of integrity to report device conditions accurately. Additionally, you should be a proactive learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and communicates effectively with both the fulfilment and customer service teams.
